Steve Schalchlin is a singer/songwriter, a playwright, composer, a survivor of one of the worst epidemics to hit mankind since the plague...  AIDS.

Steve went on write the music and lyrics to the multi-award winning musical ,The Last Session  with his lifetime partner and husband,Jim Brochu with additional lyrics by John Bettis and Marie Cain. The musical is about a singer/songwriter who has decided to commit suicide to end his battle with AIDS, but only after one last recording session in the studio. It first debuted off-Broadway in 1997.
